How to Pay for In-Home Care

Memory Lane cares for many families just like yours. We know that hiring an in-home care agency is one of the most important decisions you’ll make—you want to get it right and you have a lot of questions. One of the biggest questions is usually about the cost of in-home care services. Home care can be expensive, but there are a variety of options available to pay for ongoing care services for your loved ones. Memory Lane Senior Care currently accepts private pay (self-pay) and Medicaid Waiver.

Private Pay

Many clients and their families pay for home care out of their own pockets. While some clients need daily assistance, others are fine with weekly check-ins. We can create a care plan for any budget. Clients can pay for the care on their own or work with family members to afford in-home care.

Indiana Medicaid Waiver

Most seniors have Medicare insurance, however, Medicare typically won't cover non-medical home care assistance. However, many seniors and individuals with disabilities may qualify for the Medicaid Waiver. These waivers are used to pay for services from qualified providers of attendant or nursing care services, home modifications (ramps), lifts for vehicles, residential and employment supports, etc., and are intended to help the elderly and people with disabilities continue to live in their homes and communities instead of being moved to institutional care.
